Conference feedback

I am extremely satisfied with the webinar and the answers to my questions.
Thanks a million.

I particularly appreciated the last talk about basics of CAT tools for "newcomers".

Hi, thanks for putting this on. I just have one comment- in the "day in the life of a translator" segment, the visual was unclear- like unreadable unclear. I kept changing size of the display expecting it to clear up but it never did. Not sure what the situation was there but it wasn't worth watching what Massimilian was doing if I couldn't see it. Perhaps it had to do with so many people streaming it at once or a crummy connection on my end, not sure. Again, thanks for putting it on.

15:09 Jun 6, 2014 Peter Motte: 30753 All You have no idea.
15:09 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All :=
15:09 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All :)
15:09 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All see, you got me confused
15:09 Jun 6, 2014 Peter Motte: 30753 All Are you talking to me?
15:10 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All Cesar
15:10 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All and his question :)
15:10 Jun 6, 2014 Peter Motte: 30753 All So: you state you price, and don't give in.
15:10 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All yes
15:11 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All but, i won' starve since this is not my only income source
15:11 Jun 6, 2014 Peter Motte: 30753 All Somebody once told me it's not a good idea to start you offer with your price. Since I tend to start to talk about the deadline, and only then start to talk about the price.
15:11 Jun 6, 2014 César Yamandú Sánchez Franco: 35323 All In my experience I don't remember offensive offers, low in the worst case
15:11 Jun 6, 2014 Lucia Leszinsky: 855539 All I agree with that, Peter.
15:11 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All ah, i guess it depends on the country
15:11 Jun 6, 2014 César Yamandú Sánchez Franco: 35323 All of course, the deadline is crucial to set the price!
15:12 Jun 6, 2014 Peter Motte: 30753 All I also once read that people tend to pay more if you break up a total bill in smaller parts. Then they see lower figures, and are more tempted to accept the outcome.
15:12 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All interesting
15:12 Jun 6, 2014 Lucia Leszinsky: 855539 All In in ideal world, translators should have access to the material first and a deadline specified before making a price decision
15:12 Jun 6, 2014 Peter Motte: 30753 All I also think that those strategies don't work with purchase managers.
15:12 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All interesting
15:12 Jun 6, 2014 Lucia Leszinsky: 855539 All Hi Barbara!!!
15:12 Jun 6, 2014 Peter Motte: 30753 All Well, I always ask to see the material before I commit myself.
15:12 Jun 6, 2014 Lucia Leszinsky: 855539 All I was wondering if I would see you here :)
15:13 Jun 6, 2014 Peter Motte: 30753 All Hiya? Definitively Girls Aloud...
