Does "Streu" need translating at all? Would it not suffice to say "adjustable joke" as it is described that it adjusts the flux leakage? I googled "leakage yoke" and found nothing where the two word were together. German has a tendency to have overly precise specialist words.

yes it is a piece of magnetic material that partially closes the magnetic (air) gap. The magnetic leakage is determine by the gap geometry.
