Please weigh in on whether you prefer Friday the 30th or Saturday the 31st of May May 6, 2014

I have a few venue suggestions, but please throw in your ideas too.

I would prefer Friday the 30th and as for the venue I totallly trust Hege and you guys. Anything within a reasonable walking distance from TTC will work.

Powwow Toronto May 6, 2014

Hello,

Thanks for organizing this Powwow. I prefer Sat, but if the majority votes for Fri, I will try my best to attend.

Is there a specific topic that we will be discussing?

Thanks

My preferences May 6, 2014

Friday after work would be my preference. TTC accessible would be preferable, maybe along the YUS line. Surely there's a nice place somewhere along Yonge St., maybe with a patio (better be warm enough by then!)

Thanks for working to organize this!

Friday is great, Saturday ok. May 8, 2014

Hi all, I would also prefer Friday, but I would probably be able to make it on Saturday too if that is the final choice. Thank you!

If we go with Friday evening... May 12, 2014

Pour House near Dupont Station has two huge patios.
Near Davisville station, there's Fionn McCool's with a patio overlooking Yonge street

If we go with Saturday, there's against the grain down by Sugar beach (we met there last year in June)

The Pour House on Dupont was pretty good last time. It would be nice to sit on the patio.
The patio in Fionna McCools is right on Yonge and pretty noisy, It's also not very big.
There is also the Fox and Fiddle on Yonge just north of St. Clair which has two patios. Never been inside though.

I'll love to attend, so long as it's not too far out to the west side of the TTC line...

Thanks for organizing!

Translation Students May 29, 2014

Are translation students (as opposed to working translators) welcome at these powwows?
