Hola,
Santiago está dividida en 32 comunas (creo). Cada comuna tiene una municipalidad. Y se les dice: Ilustres. Sería bueno saber por qué. Entonces, tenemos la Ilustre Municipalidad de Cerrillos, de Santiago, de Ñuñoa, etc. Luego, cada pueblo tiene una municipalidad también.
¿pero cómo se dice eso en Inglés?

Try to ggogle for titles like illustrious, honourable etc. in front of the names of towns and cities and usually all you will get is badly translated blurb. The fact is in English we only apply the term "honourable" to people. "Illustrious" is a superlative that would not work here. If you REALLY want use an adjective here, tone it down (superb, wonderful, etc.)

Santiago City Hall

Depending on the context (and Asker has provided none, except that it refers to Chile), it is sometimes better to translate "Ilustre Municipalidad de XYZ" as "XYZ City/Town Hall", in much the same way as in English we refer to 'Downing Street' or 'The White House'.

agree AllegroTrans : and have you noticed something? most of the contributors to that entry were not native English speakers; fact is simply this - we don't use fanciful names like this in English - a person can be "honourable" not a city
