I though this might mean that the quarter glass will be replaced with a solid thing now, ie be a part of the main body work and not glass (as it is in small vans for example, so you can't look into the goods section), so I'll probably go with this. Thanks.

Dunno. Cars have "rear quarter windows" and they are glass, not filled.
