German term
eingeschmolzen
German to English
Medical
Medical: Dentistry
Endodontics
From a dental report:
"Entfernung Entzündungsgewebe regio 17 (histologisch gesicherte „einzündlich eingeschmolzene radikuläre Zyste (Durchmesser 1 cm)")
I guess 'eingeschmolzen' means 'sealed' here...although a cyst would presumably be sealed by definition, unless it was opened.
I'd be grateful for an appropriate term.

omit it
"Eingeschmolzen" here refers to the process of pulpa necrosis , spreading bacteria into root canals, causing inflammation, thus the tissue at the root apex disintegrates and is being replaced by granulation tissue (apical granuloma).
I would argue that there´s a similar English expression for "eingeschmolzen" in this context and may suggest to omit "entzündlich eingeschmolzene".
Having said that though, one finds terms like "decomposing" or "disintegrating" regarding the genesis of a radicular cyst.
It doesn´t make sense though to point it out imho.

sweetheart - there is no expression as eingeschmolzen in this context. If you know about the genesis of cysts and radicular cysts in specific you would know it´s not necessary to explain this. After all it´s a radicular cyst.
