German term

sanft geschwungen

German to English Marketing Geography description of landscape
So far, I have "softly curved" but I know there is a much better expression for this...in fact I think I have used a better term before but I can't think of it (hate that). Please help, thanks in advance.

Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Jan 31, 2004:
another question what do the others think of Olaf's "rolling mountains"?
Non-ProZ.com Jan 31, 2004:
no we didn't just have this, Jonathan. We had "flachwellig" which is definitely not the same. I guess I should have added that I am trying to avoid "rolling hills" as I have used this phrase too many times already; plus I believe they're talking about actual mountains here. The previous sentence is:

Another possibility would be: ROLLING MOUNTAINS

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I really like the sound of "gently sloped" and it's a nice change from "rolling," which is almost a little too common, as far as this text is concerned. Thank you!"
