Hallo Alexander, habe gerade die tragende Säule gesehen und die Übersetzung im Glossary.
Nehmen wir an, ich habe eine Übersetzung, in der steht, die Familie ist die tragende Säule der Gesellschaft, ich schaue im Glossary nach und finde core business, schreibe also unbedarft (als Nichtmuttersprachler): the family is the core business of the society, wäre das richtig?
Man sollte bei Einträgen in das Glossary nicht nur an seinen ganz spezifischen Kontext denken.
Im übrigen ist auch in deinem Kontext die exaktere, (das heißt, die das deutsche Original nachvollziehende) Übersetzung: "the supporting pilar".
Wäre dir dankbar für eine Änderung des Glossars.
