German term

Abrechnung [abrechnen] auf

German to English Bus/Financial Accounting
In an acounting document, wherein the costs are "abgerechnet auf" a division or department or heading: "Die Abrechnung [von Musterbauarbeiten] erfolgt auf Ergebnisobjekte."

I'm having a problem with the "auf" part ...

Thanks very much!

Harold

on the basis of

Die Grundbedeutung ist "on the basis of", d.h. das nur das Ergebnis oder die "Ergebnisobjekte", die tatsächlich im Rahmen der Musterbauarbeiten hergestellt wurden, abgerechnet und bezahlt werden.

per project/object/item/unit completed/finalised/produced

meaning:

1. project finished
2. settlement/payment for work related to the respective projects/objects.

Self-explaining, IMO. Whether to use "object/project/unit/item" depends on the concrete context.

\"are charged/allocated to each project/unit etc. completed/finalised etc. (separately).

IMO, \"cost allocation\" is appropriate here, for the focus is on most precise cost calculation for each single project to be completed.

to charge to

Could you use "to charge to" or "to charge on the basis of"?
