This is from a book about tattoo art. I am not familiar with this phrase. I'd appreciate some help.

@Answerers Please read this correctly. It's talking about the "art" of tattooing which is (lit.) "offering itself an escape" - breaking away from traditional stereotypes I'd say.
It's not "vous offre".
s'offrir = to offer oneself
une fugue = running away, escape

Hi Mohamed, it's a technique called personification. The real meaning of course is that this is a new form of tattooing, an art that is moving away from the mundane "MOM in a heart" type tattoo.

i.e. fugue = flight from one's usual environment

s'offrir = afford in the sense of be able to do something without risk of adverse consequences

Tattooing makes/is making a break from the ordinary... you'll need to check the appropriate tense

disagree Tony M : A 'boom' is something that happens; 'afford itself' doesn't work naturally with any of your other suggestions either. / ??? Note that the reflexive is much less common in EN than FR, and often sounds stilted / unnatural.
