The totally-enclosed separately-ventilated machines of type ASB. (degree of protection IP 23) are suitable for use in closed rooms with normal climatic conditions. In the case of ASHC machines, the ventilation openings-as provided in ASBA machines-and the end shields are closed. They therefore have degree of protection IP 54 and are suitable for use in ***rooted-over areas*** with normal climatic conditions.
