Discussion

Marcel Ventosa (asker) May 16, 2008:
This is the entire clause: X may, in addition to, and not in substitution for any other rights and remedies available to it under this Agreement or in law, charge daily interest on all payments due to it from the Licensee which are not paid on or before their due date for payment before and after judgement ant the rate of W% above the "LIBOR" rate, from time to time in effect, as published by Y periodical Z from the due date for payment to the date when payment in full is actually recieved by X. Interest on late payments shall be compounded monthly and shall continue to accrue notwithstanding termination of this Agreement for any cause whatsoever.

This is really all the available context in terms of figuring out what they mean by judgement.

I agree with Niki-K and it would definatelly be better "resolución judicial"
Peer comment(s):

agree Guadalupe - : Yes, "sentencia" is the typical translation for "judgement" in the legal field. However, bear in mind that this meaning refers to a judicial decision. I can't imagine the situation in the example, but you can probably do so by reading the whole document.

Gracias :)
agree Nelida Kreer : Esencialmente correcto, pero como del texto que da Marcel no surge que haya efectivam un litigio, de pronto cabría poner "resolución judicial" - just to be on the safe side.
