I have also found these 'grilles' referred to as 'optiques' (even when they are just metal grilles!), and 'ventelles', though the latter term seems to be restricted as far as I can find to the type of slatted diffusers found on longitudinal fluorescent fittings, so probably not what you're looking for here.
