ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (WASTE OIL)
Waste oil, if mismanaged, has potential to cause severe harm to the environment. Ensure waste oil is passed on to an appropriately registered waste carrier as to meet Duty of Care requirements (The Duty of Care is set out in section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and associated regulations. It applies to anyone who is the holder of controlled waste). Duty of care is a law, failure to comply can result in an unlimited fine.
