: a tux is formal but it's hardly stadskleren. formal isn't the same thing. Not in English at least. /formal wear means tuxedos and the like. a 'city boy' with a tie on a scateboard [sic]- I'd say he was dressed like an urban warrior

If you look at the list above: a tux is not included. "Somewhat fancy" does not mean "fancy gala clothes". Formal clothes is normally seen in offices, and on the way to the office. If you see a city boy with a tie on a skateboard, what would you say?
