English term

single point of failure

Non-PRO English to Dutch Tech/Engineering Computers: Software
(about introducing software for barter systems etc.)
An advantage of a distribute model is that you don't have the risk of "single point of failure".

enkelvoudige fatale storing

bij een gedistribueerd model (distributed model) ligt het netwerk bij een storing op 1 knooppunt niet meteen helemaal plat

about the danger of a single point of contact (concentrate model)

It refers to the concept of "single point of contact" (SPOC) which means that all the contacts(interactions) between client/customer and the company/organisation is concentrated in one point, one inlet or outlet.
That means that the POC's are not distributed (in the organisation and/or geographically).
That means that if somethings fails (in that "system"): the SPOC fails and it becomes the SPOF ;-)
That's why a distribute model (or a model of distributed POC's) is advantageous - in that perspective.
