English term

Sanctions targets

English to Spanish Bus/Financial Law (general) Compliance - Company Code of Ethics
Este término se refiere a territorios, personas o entidades que sean objeto de sanciones. Quería saber si existe una forma más concisa de decir esto en español en una oración como la siguiente: "Do not engage in transactions with sanctions targets".

¡Gracias!

Códigos de ética en la gestión empresarial
By Editorial Digital UNID, Judith Herrejón Sansón, Erika Pamela Santana Elizalde

Evidence has also been provided by the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) that there are **sanction targets ** within
Jobcentres.

Most U.S. unilateral sanctions measures are not designed to deter foreigners from doing business with sanction targets.
Instead, they restrict only the activities of “United States persons” in their dealings with the sanction target.
Facundo Pallero (asker) May 23, 2020:
I actually added that after you told me haha. Thanks and stay safe!
Taña Dalglish May 23, 2020:
@ Facundo Thank you for the additional sentences. I removed the part about "Company Code of Ethics" as I did not pay attention to the header. LOL!
Facundo Pallero (asker) May 23, 2020:
Thanks, Taña! I've just specified this in the field. The term appears several times in phrases like "do not engage in business with sanctions targets" or "do not refer business opportunities with sanction targets to other departments," "do not conduct business in or in any way related to a sanctions target." I don't have any problems with the meaning of this term (which is used in a general way to describe countries, people or organizations), I just don't know how to express it naturally in Spanish without using a very cumbersome phrase.
Taña Dalglish May 23, 2020:
@ Facundo Can you then post additional sentences where the phrase "transactions with sanctions targets" or "sanctions targets" appear? Are there any other instances? Best regards and stay safe. BTW: personally, I would not say "sanctions targets", but rather "sanction targets". But, you need to explain further, IMO.
Facundo Pallero (asker) May 23, 2020:
Thanks for that reference, Taña! Yes, it's part of a Company Code of Ethics and the section where the term appears (several times) is about providing services or trading with people, countries or organizations that have been the targets of sanctions. I might be wrong, but terms like "objetivos/objetos/blancos de sanción" don't sound right to me in Spanish.

Facundo: Can you give us more context, please? Is it similar to this?

I can't see how you can separate targets from sanctions in this context. Sanciones dedicadas include countries, people and companies as you indicated.

Note from asker:
Thanks, Lydia! Sorry if I didn't make this clear, but I need a general term for "targets" (which in my document includes countries, people and companies) in Spanish, not for the sanctions.
"Destinatarios de sanciones", that's it! ¡Muchísimas gracias!

sujetos a sanciones financieras

Hola Facundo. Ya lo definiste bien, es eso mismo. Solo tienes que escribirlo de una forma natural. Creo que puedes decirlo de esta manera, si ves que se adecua al contexto. Puedes revisar su uso en los enlaces que te dejo aquí.
Note from asker:
¡Gracias, Daniela!
