Target audience Could you please give us more details about the target audience and intended purpose? If the idea is to present/sell mountains and climbing as cool or the in thing to do, there are lots of terrible puns used frequently in this field involving the word "rock", e.g.

Hey there Nicole I think the reference to fashion was simply to modify the sense of "in". It's not about fashion per se, but about mountain sports. At least I think so. And yes, "in" as in groovy, neato, spiffy, smokin', wowsy, etc. We must be the same generation.

Who will be the readership? Honestly, if Americans read "mountains", not every-one will think about fancy and fashion- and celebrity- infested Aspen, Colorado ski resorts but rather about the slightly less fashion-infested Rocky Mountains or the Appalachians.

Scaling mountains is just your style!

That phrase might work well since the emphasis on "your style" creates a sense of exclusiveness that people crave. On the other hand, it would most certainly be an "improvement" of the orginal and it's a judgement call how far a translator can go with that..

I think the GER is most unimaginative, so lots of room for improvement - the merits of my own effort aside ;-)
