The principal is how much you borrow. The interest is the extra money that you have to pay back to the bank.

: Gerar mais juros? Isso por sua conta... ai ai, em tempos de politicamente correto ninguém mais segura o tranco. Amigo, trata-se de um contrato com obrigação de pagar, não há espaço para erros. E outra: quem garante que "note" aqui não é uma promissória?

Como se trata de renovação de dívida por inadimplência, parece-me que os juros acumulados precisam ser pagados. No original, não há a palavra "and" entre principal y interest.

Ola' imatahan! Exatamente como falei, nao tem, a palavra AND. Por isso nao se trata de ambos divida E juros, mas sim fala somente de juros acumulados com base na divida.
