Hello, Beth. Before I go around disagreeing with people, I'd like to know if, from the context, "it's as plain as a pikestaff that" the sentence is about Georgiana's appearance.

Não é uma tradução literal, pois, "pikestaff" é um cabo do pique (lança de combate simples), mas creio ser a que se ajusta ao contexto.

Parece-me que Georgiana não tinha atributos físicos, sem curvas, reta como uma tábua, um cabo de vassoura ou um cabo de pique!
