Spanish term

mayas (mallas) de 3D

Spanish to English Other Computers (general) computer images
This is for a corporate video in Spain. They want to transmit the idea of high-technology using "mayas de 3D" - I think they mean mallas (nets) to mean those 3D images that look like they're made out of netting (if you know what I mean). What are those called in English? I've exhasted all my thoughts...any help would be appreciated!

Recursos gráficos que transmitan tecnología, como por ejemplo las mayas de 3D.

3D mesh models

Images could replace "models" but I think the latter is more appropriate.

It could also be "polygon mesh", referred to in the Wikipedia article.
