Property valuation report / description of site characteristics
This term is used as a sub-headline in a German property valuation report, more precisely in the section describing the characteristics and uses of the property/site, and refers to three buildings located on the site that are designated as "Bauteil 1", "Bauteil 2" and "Bauteil 3".
Example:
"{Headline} Bauteil 1
{Descriptive text}
I am asking for the MOST appropriate term (in the context of a property valuation) and have already excluded "element", "component" and "member" as this is about entire buildings. I am thinking of using "building", "structure" or "unit". The translation is targeted at English-speaking investors (with no particular information as to US, UK or other countries).
Many thanks in advance for your help!

Building (No.)
This works when the buildings are separate or art least if the boundaries are clear. A problem arises when the same word is used to refer to a part of a larger building - probably built at a different time or with a different number of storeys etc. In that case I normally use "Building section (No.)"

Example sentence:
Building 1 is a brick construction under a flat roof...
Building section 4 is situated between sections 3 and 5, it has...
Note from asker:
Thanks. I forgot to add that the buildings are indeed separate in this case (judging by the enclosed photohtaphs). |
Oops ... make that "photo(graph)s", please. And yes, "building section" has also crossed my mind (I've used that earlier in another document to refer to parts of a larger building). |

Comment: "Thanks to all of you for the helpful contributions. I chose "building" in this case as the photos made it clear that these were separate structures. That being said, I've added "unit" and "section" to the glossary as these options might be more appropriate in other situations."

Just a possibility, along the lines of: The buildings on the site are divided into three lots, whereby Lot 1 comprises: etc.

structure
Using the term "Unit" could refer to a block of units or a unit. This term could be confusing. We don't know if it is a house or a block of units.
I would go for structure.
I would go for structure.

block
in this context, which i have also often seen, Bauteil is a distinguishable building part within an ensemble. Section or Block would be appropriate
