I can propose no answer for this... but

I think you mean "Wirbelkörper", which means vertebrae.

Wirbelbogen = "vertebral arch" or "neural arch of vertebra"

Perhaps what is actually meant here is "Wirbelgelenk" and not "Wirbelbogengelenk". The former would simply be "vertebral joint".
