English term

Photo phone dip & dung machine

English to German Tech/Engineering Photography/Imaging (& Graphic Arts)
Hallöle,

der obige Begriff steht in einem Arbeitszeugnis eines indischen Arbeitnehmers, der in dem Betrieb an verschiedenen Maschinen ausgebildet wurde. Konkret heißt es dort:

Film processor
(a) Photo phone dip & dung machine

(b) Konica KP 50 E machine

(...)

Ich habe Probleme mit "dip & dung". Hat jemand eine Ahnung, wie dies zu übersetzen ist? Google-Recherchen brachten bisher keinen Erfolg.

Discussion

Yorkshireman Mar 24, 2015:
Rolf He states his job description as a film processor (Dip&dunk and KP 50 E corroborate this).
Photo - either sales of photography equipment or printing from film and/or digital media
Phone - either selling phones and/or printing photos from phones/phonememory cards (the latest trick is by WiFi to a printer!)
Rolf Keller Mar 24, 2015:

Steffen Walter Mar 24, 2015:
A-ha Put a comma after "photo" and another after "phone", and suddenly it all (seems to) make(s) sense.
Yorkshireman Mar 24, 2015:
I know... ... I still do my own developing and printing for medium format.

Dip & Dunk does apply to film, both slides and negatives.

I think our Indian friend is saying what areas he has work-experience in and probably knows more about photography (equipment sales), phones (sales) and developing and printing than he does about punctuation :-)

He probably worked in a big consumer electronics market and a processing lab before he started looking for a new job.

By the way, a Konica KP 50 E is a minilab for in-store developing and printing from 35 mm film
Rolf Keller Mar 24, 2015:
@Yorkshireman Um.

dip & dunk" and photographic prints don't go well together. And what about 60 film rolls per hour in a store? And anyway, memory cards for mobile phones are identical to cards for ordinary cameras or tablets.
Yorkshireman Mar 24, 2015:
Photo phone I reckon this is a "developing" and photo printing machine that has a card reader for memory cards from mobile phones with photo capability.

Or an in-store printer that allows mobile phone to be connected with a download cable (as you would when downloading to a PC, laptop or tablet)
Rolf Keller Mar 24, 2015:
Da ist vielleicht noch ein weiterer Schreibfehler drin, jedenfalls sehe ich in "photo phone" keinen Sinn. Möglicherweise ist es ein Herstellername, so wie bei der anderen Maschine.
Steffen Walter Mar 24, 2015:
Was hat dann aber ... ... das "phone" an dieser Stelle zu suchen?
Yorkshireman Mar 24, 2015:
Spelling dip & dunk
Iris Schlagheck-Weber (asker) Mar 24, 2015:
Zusätzliche Info... Ich habe eine Zeile ausgelassen, sorry.

Es heißt:
Film processor
(a) Photo phone dip & dung machine
capacity 60 rolls/hr.
