English term

Committed bottom-line results

English to German Bus/Financial Human Resources Swiss DE
This is not my language combination but a colleague who works in EN-DE is in need of help. This appears as a bullet point under "Hauptaufgaben" on somebody's CV. Actually, we cannot make sense of the entire sentence. We think FBP might be Federal Business Practices... but "committed bottom-line results" is a mystery

The person's position is:

"Lead PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY X Finance & Administration Department"

And one of her tasks is:

"Make sure that Company delivers the FBP and updates *committed bottom-line result*"

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Our try so far:
Einhaltung der Geschäftspraktiken (FBP) und Erreichung entsprechender Endresultate

Thanks Steffen I have passed on the information. This looks promising.
Steffen Walter Dec 16, 2010:
FBP... = Final Business Plan? Cf. http://www.ofwat.gov.uk/pricereview/pr09phase3/prs_pn0609_pr... (pp. 4, 6).
Hermien Desaivre (asker) Dec 16, 2010:
Thank you We are checking.
Hans G. Liepert Dec 16, 2010:
I'm puzzled there are no Federal Business Practices in Switzerland - could it be FER (Swiss GAAP), Fachempfehlungen der Rechnungslegung?

Since he worked in a "lead pharmaceutical company" there are at least quarterly statements, internally such companies are reporting on a monthly basis

Novartis and Roche, the big ones here in the pharma triangle are regularly reporting on a quarterly basis and so are the dozens of offsprings.

Thank you for your fast response - how would "update" fit into this context - what do they mean, surely the profit and loss statement comes out once a year...?
Wonderful, thank you.

vereinbarten/zugesagten Mindestergebnisse

Note from asker:
Thank you for your fast response - see my comment to Herr Liepert re "update" - we are still struggling to render the concept in DE.

Note from asker:
Thanks Sabine, it makes sense - but we ended up using Hans' term.
