Etiquette of discussing Etiquette Mar 5, 2005

Of all topics, we should at least be considerate, polite, and understanding when we discuss etiquette.

Although it seems trivial at the surface, this thread is helpful. What is not clear is that the subject is quite personal. Each one has their own style, and each one tries to relate the discussion to their own personal behavior, with the potential of feeling accused or vindicated.

So please everyone, try to be extra sensitive.

Thank you all!

To thank or not to thank Mar 6, 2005

We are all free to thank peers who agree to our answers.

We are all free to not thank peers who agree to our answers.

In both cases we should respect other people's choices about this small issue.

Is there much else to say about that?

Cheers,
Enrique Cavalitto

Locking this thread Mar 6, 2005

Thank you all for your contributions. This was a helpful topic and I believe all opinions were expressed. We are reaching a point where the discussion can only get personal without adding substance.

Let us take Enrique's posting as our closing remarks and apply the positive things that we might have learned from this thread to our advantage.

Once again, thank you all.

Alaa
