English term
Catalog engineering
English to German
Tech/Engineering
Manufacturing
Lean Manufacturing
This term comes up under the header "Management 'No's'" in a presentation about the implementation of Lean Manufacturing. The term "Catalog engineering" itself is the heading for this sentence: "Get your hands dirty on the shop floor!".
Other headings are: “Brainstorming” (You can’t solve the problem on a flip chart. Go to the shop floor, experience the real problems and trystorm your solutions.) or "Desktop data collection" (Go to the shop floor. Watch the work. Watch the equipment. Collect your own data.).
I found "catalog engineering" defined as the process of making a catalog (which wouldn't make much sense in this content). Another definition seems to be kind of a standard method of engineering.
Any idea what this could be in German? Maybe something like "0-8-15-Techniken/-Konstruktionen"?
Thanks in advance!
