Machine translation post-editing of a weighing indicator user manual for an industrial weighing solution developer, French to Dutch, 9555 words.
Currently I am working as translator with East African Language Solutions (EALSTP), and online and in person interpretation, as well as book translations (by contract). I have translated around 4 books which are already published, and still waiting for other additional books to be translated. I am also working as a tutor, giving tuition to students casually. Just completed another review of images for a website and changed a translation that was not correct in the context to make sure that the client makes a great impression on buyers! 
Just finished the Turkish to Spanish translation of a simulation game, JudgeSim, to be released on Steam. The translation comprises 21,227 words. Ready to take on new challenges!

Just finished an online presentation of the "Handbuch Explosionsschutz" for my dear friend, Marc Moolenaar, and I just finished the sworn German translations of a Dutch doctor's diploma, a Dutch Certificate of Conduct and an English CCPS for an MD: the first sworn translation from English straight into German, since I've been sworn in for English as well in 2022. A real money saver for the customer who has Dutch and English documents from our government to be translated into German by a sworn translator! The 100,000-word software manual translation is now complete. Now, I can finally take a break and enjoy some coffee. The translation English to Japanese of the 50,000-word legal document is finished. Let's celebrate! I am a specialist in the grammatical interpretation of technical terms. Despite the frequent ambiguity of legal terms, I find the equivalent in the target language. This is primarily due to my in-depth legal knowledge, but I also benefit from my many years of experience and the extensive terminology databases and translation memories that I have been able to build up over the years. During my translation studies, I specialized in evaluating machine translation models. This knowledge is essential when using machine translation and CAT tools to ensure terminology consistency at all times. |
