There are well-respected translation thinkers out there who say that typing is so last-century when you can triple or quadruple your output (and therefore your income) by dictating and using voice recognition software.

Others say that they find typing easier and quicker, and speak of the flaws inherent in VRS.

So far the typing is more time-effective since the error correction and editing procedure - inevitable anyway - are more time-consuming and take me not only time but nervous to manage that. The root reason is, I'm afraid, in my habit and typing skills. If I had been tought dictating from the very childhood with simultaneous automatic adjustment and tuning voice vocabulary, I'd already have had no idea how I could work without it. Obviously, we are on the edge of technology shift that makes us catch up with it and keep up with the latest improvements which can't be accepted by us due to the previous "obsolete" skills.
