Bio:I hold the degree of M. Phil Linguistics obtained from National University of Modern Languages, Pakistan. Also, I am an experienced teacher of linguistics and English literature, having more than 4 years experience of working as lecturer in English at an emerging univer...sity in Pakistan. Kindly have a look at my LinkedIn profile to see further detail http://pk.linkedin.com/pub/salman-riaz/24/a22/738. Because of my strong educational, administrative, research background, and linguistic talent, I have been contacted by some translation recruiters, from whom I recently have worked as English to Urdu translator for Languagescape (www.languagescape.com), Lingoleaf Language Services (www.lingoleaf.com), and ISO Translations Company (www.isotranslations.com).
I have a natural knack for translation, and I love this work, because it is sort of part of me. What distinguishes me from most of the others is my educational and research background in the field of Translation Studies (which is an established branch of Applied Linguistics). One of my research papers, dealing with the translation of idioms from Urdu to English, was accepted for presentation at an international conference held in La Roija, Spain from 8th to 11th September, 2011. Unfortunately, because of some official engagements, I could not present my paper at the conference. I believe in dedication, honesty, truth, hard work, passion, and creativity. Perfection is my obsession, and I try my best to do my work in a perfect way.
