Source text - Portuguese Tendo em vista a importância do conhecimento aprofundado das características de uma localidade para a edificação de construções civis com qualidade e segurança, foi desenvolvido um diagnóstico completo da bacia hidrográfica do córrego Olhos D'água, localizada em Divinópolis/MG. Foram realizados os estudos dos sistemas de infraestrutura de água, esgoto, resíduos sólidos e vias de acesso. Também foram analisadas as características do solo e hidrológicas da localidade, quanto a fatores importantes para a construção civil. Por fim, também foi avaliado o processo de urbanização e sua relação com a infraestrutura urbana local. A partir deste diagnóstico, se propôs, através de readequações e redimensionamentos, mudanças nas estruturas dos sistemas avaliados de modo a sanar deficiências e potencializar sua eficiência.
Translation - English In view of the importance of a profound knowledge about a location’s characteristics in order to build civil constructions with quality and safety, this paper develops a complete diagnosis of the Olhos D’água creek’s catchment area, situated in Divinópolis/MG. Studies about water, sewage, solid residues, and advance headings substructure systems are performed, as well as analyses of soil and water characteristics of the location, concerning important factors to civil engineering. Lastly, the urbanization process and its relation to the local infrastructure is also analysed. From this diagnostic, changes are proposed, through readjustments and resizing, on the structures of the analysed systems for the purpose of remedying deficiencies and increasing their efficiency.
