Zsófia is a native Hungarian certified translator who has been working in the industry since 2014. In addition to English-Hungarian translations, Zsófia also provides near-native level translations into English, having lived in the US for 6 years in the past.
Zsófia started her career at an LSP where she translated and revised hundreds of projects, becoming an expert in life sciences translations in the fields of laboratory diagnostics, hearing aids, imaging systems (CT, MR), radiotherapy and various medical devices.
Since early 2020, she has been working as a freelance translator, providing high-quality translations to direct customers and multilingual vendors across Europe. About half of her time is devoted to medical projects, while in the other half she puts her creativity in the service of marketing translations in a variety of fields, including photography, consumer electronics and software products. She has translated websites, brochures, press releases, e-learning courses and much more - all requiring not only in-depth cultural knowledge, but also empathy for the target audience and a wide-ranging, refined verbal toolkit for properly conveying the client's message.
Zsófia is also an experienced CAT tool trainer and has shared her insights about machine translation at several conferences and workshops.
