Bio
I started translating and adapting movies and TV scripts for the Brazilian audience at Herbert Richers S/A, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2006. In the end of 2007, I moved to Portugal and started working as generalist technical translator at JABA Translations, in Vila Nova de Gaia. One year later I became the Head of the Brazilian Translators' Team, being responsible for managing and supporting a team of 10 linguists. In 2012, me and my husband moved to The Netherlands, and there I worked as Freelance Technical Translator, collaborating with several European translation agencies. Missing our friends, family, Portuguese great wine, food, and good weather, we came back to Portugal in 2018, when I joined SDL and worked as Lead Translator at their Language Office in Porto. In order to be able to split my time between Brazil and Portugal I needed portability, so in 2020 I decided to fly solo again, which means my cultural knowledge and linguistic experience are now at your service! :-)
