Nas duas horas deste curso, são apresentadas e demonstradas algumas funções pouco conhecidas ou pouco aproveitadas do Microsoft Word que podem auxiliar bastante o tradutor em seu trabalho, possibilitando ganhos de produtividade e qualidade. Como a maioria dos usuários comuns do Microsoft Word, alguns tradutores não conhecem ou não utilizam uma boa parte de suas funcionalidades, de modo que acabam perdendo tempo com tarefas repetitivas e maçantes que o computador poderia fazer de forma mais rápida e quase sempre melhor. São abordados atalhos de teclado, formas de se movimentar rapidamente por textos longos, usos avançados da função Localizar/Substituir, entre outros. Todo o conteúdo é demonstrado por meio de exemplos práticos com o programa.

- Tradutores e revisores que utilizam CAT tools integradas ao Word;
- tradutores e revisores que traduzem ou revisam no Word;
- tradutores e revisores que utilizam o Word para preparar os textos antes ou após a tradução.

To purchase your seat at this session please click on the "buy" button. Available slots are limited and will be assigned to registered and paid participants as soon as payment is reported. Recommendations
• For the visual section of the training course, we recommend that you have a 64kbps link. This means using an ISDN line or Broadband. Wireless connection is NOT recommended.
• For the audio section of the training course, we recommend that you have a headset or speakers.
• We recommend that you log in 30 minutes in advance of the start time to prepare for the training course.
Courses will be open half an hour before the start time. Please login before the start time to ensure that everything on your system is working correctly.
Bio: Reginaldo Francisco é tradutor técnico e literário de inglês e italiano. É bacharel em Letras com Habilitação de Tradutor pela Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) e mestre em Estudos da Tradução pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). Publicou artigos e ministra palestras sobre Tradução, além de ser o autor, juntamente com a Profa. Dra. Claudia Zavaglia, do livro Parece mas não é: as armadilhas da tradução do italiano para o português. É treinador das ferramentas Wordfast e memoQ, oferecendo cursos presenciais e on-line para tradutores.
Reginaldo Francisco is a Brazilian technical and literary translator (English>Portuguese and Italian>Portuguese). He has a bachelor's degree in Translation and a master's degree in Translation Studies. He delivers lectures and has published articles and a book on Translation. He is also a Wordfast and memoQ trainer, providing on-site and on-line training sessions for translators.
I wonder if it will also be part of the session the system use of proofreading (Track Changes), since this would be very interesting and useful to all the participants. Another suggestion would be sending a handbook with the Word features that will be demonstrated, for continuation of study and practice required.

All participants will have unlimited access to the video and handouts. A link to the video and materials will be emailed to all attendees within one working week after the session. Once a video is released and the link is share, you can watch the video as many times and when it is needed (while you have your ProZ.com profile).

If you start watching the webinar with Mac 10.5.8, the software start trying to run, it will fail and you will get a message that this OS is not supported. If you are interested in the live session you may try another computer or purchase access to the video. This video will be available at http://www.proz.com/translator-training/format/videos .
The video will include the presentation and the Q&A portion recorded. In case you have any questions as for the tool you can always contact the trainer and get a reply via email. You will have unlimited access to the video and as per your request, after training completion a certificate of attendance will be issued. Please let me know if this works fine with you. Thanks.
