I like to start early in the morning (started at 7 a.m. this morning) when my mind is fresh but I am certainly more productive by mid-afternoon. I am a slow starter and a late owl, the most productive time for me in general is mid-afternoon/evening, but it really depends on a lot of factors: quality of my sleep the night before, job deadline, complexity of the document, familiarity with the subject matter, number of interruptions… | | | neilmac Spain Local time: 05:30 Spanish to English + ... Interruptions or lack thereof. I usually tend to do admin and translation work in the morning, and revision (or proofreading, if you prefer) work in the evening. I think I can be equally productive in the morning, in the evening or at night. The main factor is the frequency of interruptions, whether from outside factors or my own routine. For example, I tend to work the dog for at least an hour before nightfall. This currently means from 5 to 6, so it is usually about 7 PM before I get back into... Nope I had a lovely British scone, just crumbly enough, with a generous layer of butter, dusted with cocoa powder. And goodness knows how many cups of coffee made by my marvellous machine that grinds the beans itself.
Had you asked yesterday, it would have been the first option because porridge fits that description perfectly. | | | William Hepner United States Local time: 23:30 Member (2022) Spanish to English + ... Definitely Late Morning | Dec 4, 2022 |
Any time before 2:00 p.m., really, when I usually have lunch. And after lunch, I'm incapable of any sustained effort on an intellectual level unless it has to do with napping, walking, or doing routine business and marketing stuff. | |

Late afternoon/early evening, specifically. Sometimes I'm still pumped up late in the evening or even after midnight. I take several hours to wake up, even after getting up and having started doing things around the house. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Poll: At what time of day are you most productive?
