Dear all,
I am in the last year of my Masters program for Translation at the University of Portsmouth and am currently working on my thesis.
As part of this dissertation I am conducting a survey about translators and their processes and would very much appreciate it if you could complete it (if you are a translator) and forward it to any other translators you are acquainted with.

It takes about 9 minutes to complete (at most!), it is completely anonymous and with it I am hoping to find out (1) what processes current professional translators go through when they translating a text and (2) what translator training they have received.
To complete the survey, please follow the link below.

Thank you very much.

You all are amazing. I have gotten 40 responses inside of two hours - way more than I had anticipated or hoped for. The survey is open until July 15th (if not longer) so feel free to respond if you haven't yet.
Thank you very much for taking the time to do this! | |

Hi all, I woke up this morning to a whopping 205 survey responses and had to sit right back down again!
Simply awesome. My supervisor told me I should shoot for 30 respondents as people don't like to take surveys. I am very excited about it and the results so far are incredibly interesting. Some of you have asked me to share my results and / or dissertation. I would be happy to do so, but it will only be done in December! More translators are definitely invited to take the survey! The more, the better as it makes the paper more credible and my hypothesis more trustworthy.
Thanks again.
