A minha preocupacao com reservas e' que nao devemos saber ate' a ultima hora o numero de participantes. Ja' temos 13 confirmados, e mais 26 interessados. A ideia do Belmonte gostei. A Guanabara tambem. Vamos esperar mais um pouco antes de decidir definitivamente. Mas de qualquer forma, estou convencido no Leblon! Agradeco a todos pelas contribuicoes e sugestoes!

Podemos sim considerar um final de semana se a maioria preferir. Imaginei, como sera' quase verao, bastante gente sai da cidade nos finais de semana. Eu devo chager no Rio o dia 25 de novembro. Os dias 28 ou 29 para servem tambem como possibilidades.

As datas de 27, 28 e 29/11 são muito boas em minha opnião. E, creio que por ser final de semana, mais pessoas poderiam comparecer.

I agree with Paul - also, a weekend powwow will give us non-cariocas a chance to make a mini-trip out of it. I WILL find that girl from Ipanema...................

Any idea whether the PowWow will be a weekend or midweek event? It would be practically impossible for us to come if midweek. Also, any suggestions about venues? I did live in Rio countless years ago but I can't remember many restaurants, except for the Lord Jim Pub (apparently closed) and a meat restaurant in General Osório Square. Of course this was over 30 years ago, so I guess things have changed...

Paul, It will DEFINATELY be on the weekend. That is the overwhelming consensus. I arrive in the country on Nov. 25, so the best date will be Saturday, Nov. 28. Location to be determined. I haven't been to Rio in about 5 years, so I will count on locals to help identify locations.

Nao tenho certeza se e' definitivo (e espero que nao), mas outro dia passando por Ipanema vi que o Barril estava fechado. Alguem sabe algo mais sobre isso?
