I've been a professional freelance translator since 2008, and have had and still have many clients that are very happy with the level of quality I provide. My feedback card demonstrates this.

I was born, grew up, studied and worked in the Netherlands until the late nineties. I was educated in both the sciences (physics, maths, chemistry) and languages (Dutch, English, German and French) up to college level, at which point I chose to specialize in IT.

I worked in many different countries over the years - besides my native Holland, I lived in Germany, India, Poland and Italy, until I settled in Scotland - in the fields of IT, consumer electronics, e-commerce, sales, customer service, logistics, and tourism. In between these varied jobs I did my first translation work as a volunteer. In my personal life I’ve been enthusiastic about computer games, philosophy, and spirituality, so I’ve also specialized in these fields.
