English to German: Mahatma Gandhi
Source text - English M. Gandhi writes about "Ahimsa": absolut Non Violence in thoughts, words and works. "Satyagraha": by own suffering to overcome the opponent. He believes, that the hardest heart and the roughest ignorance have to retreat before the rising sun of a suffering, that is without fury and intrigue. After I have thrown away the sword, there is nothing left to do, but offering my enemy the cup of love. Through my offering I want to draw him to me. My goal is the friendship with the whole world, and with the greatest love I can combine the strongest resistance against injustice." He continues: "Uncontrolled donmination by one's physical urges and the estimation of the woman as mean lust object is an underlying form of application of violence. If the individuum by means of self discipline can't control his physical urges, he has to capitulate finally on a higher level of the debate, which has to be led without violence." Absolut non-violence, so Gandhi, can only somebody practice, who puts God in the center of his life, whom he meets in the cognition of spiritual truth. "Nachdem ich das Schwert beiseite geworfen habe, bleibt mir nichts mehr als meinem Feind den Becher der Liebe darzu bieten. Durch das Angebot will ich ihn zu mir herüberziehen. Mein Ziel ist die Freundschaft mit der ganzen Welt, und mit der größten Liebe kann ich den stärksten Widerstand gegen das Unrecht verbinden. Unkontrollierte Triebhaftigkeit und die Einschätzung der Frau als bloßes Lustobjekt ist eine unterschwellige Form der Gewaltanwendung. Wenn der einzelne über den Weg der Selbstzucht seine Begierde nicht meistern kann, muß er schließlich auch auf einer höheren Ebene der Auseinandersetzung, die gewaltfrei geführt werden soll, scheitern. Absolute Gewaltfreiheit kann letztlich, so Gandhi, nur jener praktizieren, der Gott, der ihm vor allem in der Erkenntnis geistiger Wahrheit begegnet, in den Mittelpunkt seines Lebens stellt.

Supreme High Court Sworn Translator and Interpretor
My work in translating has covered all areas over a 10yr period through references given by our German Embassy as well as from the only recognised German School here.
I recently completed a project linking the South African government to Germany in an industrial matter which is a first in a pioneering venture. The work required translation from poorly transcribed english into German of a required quality suitable for executives in Germany.
Also a major international bank here in an online conference with their associates in Germany assigned me to translate documents live when the talks were in progress.
After qualifying from the High Court here, I have been summoned to interpret on cases throughout the region.
