Ik heb een doctoraal opleiding biologie en ben nu werkzaam als stafmedewerker communicatie bij de Botanische Tuinen Universiteit Utrecht. April 2009 heb ik mijn BA Turkse Taal en Cultuur Cum Laude afgerond
Ik ben in 2006 op basis van een proefvertaling geselecteerd voor een masterclass literair vertalen Turks-Nederlands bij het expertisecentrum Literair Vertalen (www.literairvertalen.org) en heb in 2008 ook aan de vervolgcursus meegedaan.

Ik heb veel ervaring in het schrijven en redigeren van allerlei teksten en naast het vertalen van Turkse teksten ben ik ook beschikbaar voor het vertalen van Engelse teksten naar het Nederlands en het schrijven van (journalistieke) teksten.
