I am an American raised in Japan and in the Japanese school system, and I am native in both the English and Japanese languages. My primary field is translating patent documents for various uses, but mainly for submission to the USPTO and EPO. I also interpret in meetings dealing with technological issues, and my patent-related clients have found me quite useful in discovery and deposition preparation, dealing with engineers and potential witnesses across the two languages. I also perform Internet researches for my clients from time to time, to provide them with marketing-related, demographics-related, and trend-related perspectives they might not be able to find otherwise. |
