I am a freelance language practitioner with more than 20 years' experience in editing, proofreading, copy writing and translation, and language proficiency in English, Afrikaans, Dutch and German. I have worked in advertising and publishing - magazines, books and newspapers. I currently have ongoing assignments for www.beterafrikaans.co.za for whom I compile multiple-choice questions to improve subscribers' Afrikaans language skills. I am also a freelance news writer for the SABC where I source news stories and compile news bulletins for Afrikaans radio. For GCIS, I do translation and copy editing for several of their publications, most notably Vuk'uzenzele and cabinet statements. For Universal Translation Services I do translations of a variety of material, from mobile applications and websites to more technical translations from German and Dutch into English.
