English to Hebrew: The Application of Werner and Kaplan's Concept of "Distancing" to Children Who Are Deaf-Blind
Source text - English Children's establishment of distance between themselves and others is dependent on the children's understanding of themselves as separate individuals. This understanding, first gained between children and their primary caregivers, is then extended to additional communication partners. Controversy exists over whether the process of knowing oneself as separate from others (also known as individuation) begins with an understanding of oneself or an understanding of others that is extended to define oneself (Muller & Runions, 2003). This controversy is particularly interesting when one considers the unique circumstances of children who have little functional vision or hearing to assist in this process. The following markers are strong indications of the achievement of separateness in young children: recognizing themselves in a mirror, saying no, using personal pronouns, and responding to and saying their own names (Rogers & Puchalski, 1984).

About Me
Work:
After enhanced English and Translation studies during 2001-2002 and finishing mandatory army service as a teacher-soldier, I have been accepted to work as a technical writer through a contractor company. Scopus, the company in which I worked, was specializing in cable and satellite media distribution and had export clients only, which meant all writing was performed directly in English.
After two years (2005-2007) as a tech-writer, during which I have climbed from a graphical and proofreading edittor to a technical writer launching 3 book series from zero, mastering almost every book series we launched for that company, and even serve as a team manager for a short time, I have left that company in favor of my academic future and simultaneously started working freelance as a translator.
My freelance work (2008-today) started with translations of research articles for students in a wide range of fields, from social sciences such as education, to psychology, economics, as well as medical science and research. Soon after that I started to work proffessionaly as a technical-literature translator through the Israeli company Almog-Tech and various other Israeli and foreign companies such as Troikaa, Multi Trans Media, New Horizon, and more.
In 2010 me a co-freelancers established Argaman Translations , a website meant to concentrate our work as freelancers. The clients and project management was handled by me and soon enough the website's popularity allowed us to leave freelancing and form a company of our own. As of 2012, Argaman Translations form the translation branch in Infomancers LTD , has a staff of 4 translators and proofreaders and is managed by me.
Education:
After finishing high-school (1999-2002) with specialized studying in Environmental Studies, Math, English and Translation, I joined the army as a teacher-soldier (2003-2005), mainly teaching math to dropout teens and youth at risk. After my service I took extra courses in History and Chemistry.
During 2008-2009 I have studied Pharmacology in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. With a very good average, but due to other circumstances, I decided to transfer and changed my major to Life-Science and Biology in Tel-Aviv Univesity, where I got accepted to an excelling-students special program oriented for research.
As part of the program I have completed projects in Neurobiological and Biotechnological labs, lasting approximately 6 months each, studying techniques and contributing to live research performed by PhD students working in that lab.
At the end of my BSc (2009-2012), I finish this prestigious program with a highly valued status among peers and lecturers, and am wanted for direct PhD programs by most of the professors whom I have had the pleasure to work with during my undergrad years.
My rates and capacity:
Are very flexible. In general, my English<-->Hebrew rate is 0.05$ per word. This however, may vary, depending on your deadline, the work volume, its complexity, etc. I aim to provide the best service I possibly can and will make sure we find a rate which we both can work with.
My regular word capacity per day is 2000 words (about 8 pages), 5 days a week. But, as with anything, this capacity is flexible and can be adjusted to your special project's demands and requirement.
