Source text - Spanish The patient declined immediate admission to the hospital because of bussiness issues, instead, for a week vancomicin (1.5 g) was administered intravenously every 12 hours, and gentamicin (500 mg) and cefriaxone (2g) were given intravenously every day through a peripherally inserted catheter. One day before admission, he was admitted briefly to another hospital, and on the next day he was transferred to this hospital.
The patient had a history of obstructive sleep apnea and used continuous positive air pressure by face mask nightly.
Translation - English El paciente rechazó la internación aduciendo problemas laborales y se le administró la siguiente medicación: vancomicina (1,5 g) i.v. cada 12 horas durante una semana y gentamicina (500 mg) y cefriaxona (2g) i.v. por día durante una semana mediante cateter centralperíferico. Un día antes de su ingreso a este hospital, estuvo internado durante algunas horas en otra institución.
El paciente tiene antecedentes de apnea obstructiva de sueñoy utiliza un dispositivo nocturno de presión positiva continua en la vía aérea mediante mascarilla faial.
