JULIA Y SUS COMPAÑEROS
Julia Montero es una mujer de su tiempo. Tiene treinta y cinco años, el pelo moreno y corto, los ojos verdes y vive en los alrededores de Madrid. Su casa es antigua, con un pequeño jardín delante y otro detrás. Es amplia y con mucha luz. Julia comparte las cuatro habitaciones de su piso con Chispún, su gato, y su canario Hilario. Es locutora de radio y tiene un programa diario, de 14:00 a 15:30.
Todas las mañanas, después de ducharse, saca del congelador la comida que calienta por la noche en el microondas. Doña Cecilia, su madre, opina que eso no es comida, pero a Julia no le importa.
Cuando sale de su casa, todavía es de noche; los vecinos no se han levantado y hay pocos coches en la calle. Ella coge el suyo hasta la primera parada de metro, porque respeta el medio ambiente y piensa que el centro de las ciudades está hecho para los peatones.
Llega al estudio a las 08:30 y tiene tiempo de tomar un café con sus compañeros: Carlos, el pinchadiscos; Charo, la secretaria; Miguel, tel redactor y Amelia-que-lo-sabe-todo, como la llaman amistosamente sus colegas, que se ocupa de las relaciones públicas.
Encuentra en su mesa las cartas del día anterior, las revistas espacializadas y una selección de los principales artículos de interés de la prensa del día. Mientras se quita el abrigo, echa un vistazo al correo. Siempre le trae café un compañero. El ambiente de trabajo es muy bueno.
Hoy es lunes y hablan de lo que han hecho este fin de semana: Julia cuenta que ha pasado estos dos días con unos amigos que tienen una casita en el campo. Después de comer, han jugado al tenís y por la noche han ido a tomar una copa. Lo han pasado muy bien, como siempre en las fiestas del pueblo. Además, es la temporada de la matanza y el ambiente en La Alberca, este pequeño pueblo de la Sierra de Francia, huele a tradición, a morcilla y a chorizo ibérico, en todas sus calles. El domingo por la tarde Julia ha vuelto a su casa para limpiar y arreglar unos muebles viejos que ha comprado en un anticuario. María, una señora mayor del pueblo, la ayuda en la limpieza y Julia habla de ella con mucho cariño.
Después de esta introducción, cada uno entra en su despacho y empieza a trabajar. Julia piensa que va a ser un día como los démas, pero...

Julia Montero è una donna del tempo. Ha trentacinque anni, capelli corti e castani, occhi verdi e vive nei dintorni di Madrid. La sua casa è antica, con un piccolo giardino davanti e un altro dietro. È spaziosa e molto illuminata. Julia condivide le quattro camere del suo appartamento con Chispún, il suo gatto, e il suo canarino Hilario. È speaker radiofonica e conduce un programma quotidiano, dalle 14:00 alle 15:30.
Tutte le mattine, dopo aver fatto la doccia, estrae dal congelatore la cena che riscalda la sera nel microonde. La signora Cecilia, sua madre, ritiene che questo non si chiama cena ma a Julia non interessa.
Quando esce di casa è ancora buio; i vicini non si sono ancora alzati e ci sono poche auto in strada. Lei sale in auto fino alla prima fermata del metro in quanto rispetta l’ambiente e pensa che il centro urbano debba essere riservato ai pedoni.
Arriva all’ufficio alle 08:30, il tempo di prendere un caffé con i suoi colleghi: Carlos, il disc jockey; Charo, la segretaria; Miguel, il redattore y Amelia la saputella, come la chiamano amichevolmente i suoi colleghi, la quale si occupa di relazioni pubbliche.
Nel suo tavolo trova le lettere del giorno precedente, le riviste specializzate e una selezione dei principali articoli di interesse della stampa quotidiana. Mentre si toglie il cappotto, dà un’occhiata alla posta. Un collega le porta sempre il caffé. L’ambiente di lavoro è ottimo.
Oggi è lunedì e parlano di come hanno trascorso il fine settimana: Julia racconta che ha trascorso questi due giorni con alcuni amici che hanno una casetta in campagna. Dopo aver pranzato, sono andati a giocare a tennis e la sera sono andati a bere qualcosa. Lo hanno trascorso molto bene, come di solito succede nelle feste popolari. Inoltre, è il periodo della caccia e nella zona di La Alberca, questo piccolo paese della Sierra di Francia, si sente l’odore, come vuole la tradizione, di sanguinaccio e salume iberico in tutte le vie. La domenica pomeriggio Julia è ritornata a casa per pulire e sistemare alcuni mobili d’epoca che ha comprato in un negozio di antiquariato. María, una signora anziana, la aiuta a pulire e Julia parla con lei con molto affetto.
Dopo questa introduzione, ognuno entra nel proprio ufficio e inizia a lavorare.
Julia pensa che sia un giorno come gli altri, ma…
