Education and Experience:

Diplom-Uebersetzerin, University of Heidelberg, Germany, 1978.
Mother tongue: German

1979-1980 Free-lance translation work for the Commission of the (then) European Communities in Brussels and the European Parliament in Luxembourg.
1980-1982 Employment as full-time translator in the German translation department of the European Parliament in Luxembourg.

since 1983 self-employed translator and interpreter for German and French in Auckland, NZ.
Experienced in a wide range of subjects, incl. press releases, financial documents, video scripts, technical and software manuals, legal, medical, scientific texts, and tourism and advertising material, literary translations, incl. astrology, poetry.
