Source text - English The herbicide type hormone contains active ingredients that cause considerable disorders in plants organisms even when applied in small doses. The observed effects were: abnormal elongating of cells, typically with the appearance of the following symptoms: twisting and thinning of the stem and leaves and other deformities, such as breaks on the stem, forming of aerial roots and distorted growth of the entire plant. The uncontrolled division of cells of the plants tissue caused by the herbicide’s hormones, cause such disproportion between the assimilation and balance of water on one side, and normal vegetative growth on the other, that the plant finally dies from exhaustion (makes it grow to death). After the application, the selective hormones of the herbicide are absorbed by the leaves, stems and roots of the plant and distributed through the circulation of sap throughout the organism (systemic activity through translocation). This makes these herbicides eradicate the propagation of roots from weeds, which other herbicides are ineffective against.
Monocots plants with a wide leaf are particularly sensitive to the herbicide type hormone used against weeds. Grass, including cereals and corn that belong to monocotyledons plants, are very resistant to the herbicide hormone because their points of vegetation are protected by a wrapper of leaves; also, the mesophilia is covered externally by a wax coating. This is the main reason why the selective control of the herbicide type hormone can be used against weeds in a variety of crops and with certain limitations with fields.
