Bio
I am a professional linguist with over ten years of experience as a Kurdish and Turkish instructor, translator, interpreter, telephonic interpreter, proof-reader, editor, tester and test reviewer.
I am a native Kurdish speaker, and expert in speaking, understanding in all dialects spoken in Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria.
I am also practiced in teaching adult learners from different professional, educational backgrounds, and trained about ILR and DLPT Levels.
I am an Official Kurdish Interpreter for the U.S. State Department, Office of Language Services.
My translation specialty lies in military, immigration, insurance, health, politics and diplomacy as well as in information technology. I am also highly experienced in translating printed documents, newspaper and magazine articles, hand written texts, electronic media, live audio and audio recordings.
Being a telephonic interpreter for several major American and British companies, I have provided my services on insurance, telecommunication, border security, correctional facilities, immigration and naturalization, social security hearings and health related requirements.
As a certified language tester, I have conducted oral proficiency interviews for assessing language proficiency, second-rated them for ensuring accuracy, and translated culturally appropriate and language specific preludes that are used for testing.
Last but not least, I have thought Kurdish and Turkish to both adult learners and school age children in classroom and private settings. My adult learners ranged from diplomats to public servants, from businessmen to researchers from various background and cultures.
