I am an English mother-tongue translator from French, Spanish and Italian into English.
My career in translation first began in 2002 when I was employed as a Project Manager in a translation company in London. In this role, I was also given the responsibility of quality controlling and editing external translations. Gradually, I began to translate documents in-house and decided that I wanted to develop my translation career further.
Since November 2007, I have been a freelance translator for several translation companies.
My main specialist areas are Legal Contracts, Financial Reports and Business Documents.
My time working in a translation company has given me vital experience in the translation industry, and a wonderful opportunity to share ideas with many expert translators.
Having been ‘on the other side of the fence’, I understand the importance of a translation as an end product.
I have access to glossaries and translation memories, which I am constantly expanding and updating, and I keep abreast of my specialist subjects by reading the latest news and developments.
My rate for translation is £65.00 per 1,000 words, or £25.00 per hour for editing and proofreading.
I can also transcribe English audio at £20.00 per 1,000 words.
