Since 2004 I have been involved in some national research programs oriented to knowledge management and information management. My active role has been pointed to counseling specific teams or individual researchers regarding ways of exploiting information resources.
I have to mention my involvement with several open-source instruments ranging from CMS to wikis and task driven software instruments.
Together with a few colleagues we are trying to start a South-European network of collaboration among knowledge management specialists ranging from e-government to libraries.
Our activity is mainly centered with raising the quality of the Kosson Initiative portal http://www.kosson.ro as we strongly believe that only a quality experience conducts to excellence.
Our group is involved in raising awareness between librarians, archivists and the many other scholars interested in expanding further into new ways and methods concerning achieving, depositing and disseminating. Furthermore, http://kosson.lx.ro represents a node of exchanging ideas, experiences and important news.

The most of my efforts are concentrated around building http://www.kosson.ro

One of the fields in which I'm very interested is exchanging data in a common format so after a study regarding the new ways in which information could be conveyed I came to the conclusion that OAI-PMH offers a viable alternative.
Experimentation will follow to prove the standard. In conjunction with other web technologies www.kosson.ro is aiming to become a prime node of experience exchange in South-East European Knowledge Space.

This experience will contribute to the future South-East European Network of Knowledge.
